Transparent Administration

The Ente Palio dei Terzieri is a volunteer association (ODV — Organizzazione di Volontariato) registered in the Italian National Single Register of the Third Sector (RUNTS) under Legislative Decree 117/2017. Its statutory mission is to safeguard the historical tradition of Città della Pieve through the annual organisation of the Palio dei Terzieri, the stewardship of the historical and re-enactment heritage of the three terzieri (Castello, Casalino, Borgo Dentro) and the cultural promotion of the territory.

Operational decisions are taken by the Board of Directors, composed of the President and Councillors elected by the General Assembly. The annual budget is approved by the Assembly and filed with the RUNTS. The association operates exclusively through unpaid volunteer work and finances its activities through contributions from the Municipality of Città della Pieve, private sponsorships, proceeds from the taverns and revenue from cultural activities.
